It was only a matter of time before Monopoly became “Dune”-ified.
Following the release of Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two,” which soared past box office expectations this past weekend, Warner Bros. has released dozens of collectible merch items inspired by the epic sci-fi tale — including a sand-hued Monopoly board game that swaps out typical tokens for pieces such as a Muad’Dib, Crysknife and Gom Jabbar.
Dune Monopoly is one of dozens of new pop-culture inspired board games to come out in recent months. Earlier this year, Monopoly released a “Yellowstone” edition ahead of the hit Paramount show’s fifth season.

Dune Monopoly
This officially-licensed Dune Monopoly game lets players buy, sell and trade “influence” with characters from the film, as you make your way around the board.
Rather than hotels and houses, the Dune Monopoly game offers “loyalty” points and “leverage,” while “fate” and “politics” cards replace the traditional Chance and Community Chest. The set also features custom Dune currency and tokens based on items from the film including a Muad’Dib, Crysknife, Gom Jabbar, Maker Hooks, Ornithopter and Ducal Ring. Barbie Monopoly
“Barbie” fans can rent and buy their way through Barbieland in a brand new, limited-edition Monopoly set inspired by the Mattel doll. The board game features six Barbie-inspired zinc tokens (Dog, Shoe, Sportscar, Speedboat, Roller Skate and Barbie herself), and each player picks a Be Anything card to select a career. Then they roll the Barbie die and show off their unique career skill, with twist-making cards through the Dream Closet and Dream Career cards.
Yellowstone Monopoly
Buy, sell and trade your way through the Yellowstone universe, just in time for the Paramount Network’s fifth season. In addition to dozens of the most recognizable properties from the show, the board game includes collectible tokens such as a branded iron, cowboy hat, rope, saddle, bull and belt buckle. Yee-haw.
Disney Hocus Pocus Yahtzee
In Hocus Pocus Yahtzee, players can create winning combinations from Dash of Pox, Dead Man’s Toe and other spells from Winifred’s bewitching evil book. Each die features unique flash-tat style illustrations inspired by the iconic film, which are stored in a cauldron that doubles as a dice cup.
‘Friends’ What Do You Meme Expansion Pack
Test your “Friends” knowledge with a brand new edition of What Do You Meme based off the iconic NBC sitcom. Included in the pack are 50 caption cards and 30 image cards, highlighting some of the funniest scenes from the series like Ross’s laugh-out-loud funny “Pivot” couch hysteria and Monica’s turkey head Thanksgiving moment.
‘Seinfeld’ What Do You Meme Expansion Pack

‘Hello Kitty and Friends’ Monopoly
Ride alongside Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Keroppi, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll or Badtz-Maru on this colorful board inspired by the “Hello Kitty” universe, collecting tokens and investing in spots along the way. You’ll find the franchise’s most memorable landmarks as you play, such as Hello Kitty’s Hotel, My Melody’s Flower Shop, and Sunshine Park. Plus, Community Chest and Chance cards allow you to contribute to events like the Omaturi Festival and collect rewards for wholesome competitions like baking.
‘Game of Thrones’ Monopoly
Fans can transport themselves to the lands of Westeros in this interactive board game as players buy, sell and trade locations within the seven kingdoms. Game tokens are a reference to the Honorary sigils of the fantastical houses, while money takes the form of dragon and silver stag-shaped coins. And of course, in true “GOT” fashion, the board game’s usual houses and hotels are replaced by holdfasts and castles.
