Billie Eilish is an American singer-songwriter. Born in Los Angeles, California, Eilish is known for her whispered vocals, atmospheric sound and fashion style often consisting of baggy, oversized clothing. She released her first song, “Ocean Eyes,” in 2015. Written, mixed and produced by her older brother, Finneas O’Connell (known just as Finneas), the siblings uploaded the song to SoundCloud, where it eventually took off. From there, Eilish and Finneas began writing and making music as a team, and released her second single, “Six Feet Under,” in June 2016. That August, Eilish was signed to Darkroom and Interscope Records.

After releasing a slew of singles and remixes, Eilish dropped the EP “Don’t Smile at Me” in August 2017, which reached No. 14 on the Billboard 200. Her debut album, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?,” released in March 2019. The album topped the Billboard 200, making her the first artist born in the 2000s to top the album chart. All 14 songs from the album charted on the Hot 100, which broke the record for the most simultaneously charting songs on the Hot 100 by a female artist. “Bad Guy,” one of the album’s singles, reached No. 1 on the Hot 100. At the 2020 Grammys, Eilish became the youngest person to win all big four categories: best new artist, record, album and song of the year. Eilish released her second album, “Happier Than Ever,” on July 30, 2021. In 2022, Eilish and Finneas won the Academy Award for best original song for their James Bond theme song for “No Time to Die.”
